A 93-year-old driver from Corona drove her car into a print shop on Thursday. She was trying to back out of a parking space and had her car in drive instead of reverse. The glass and window frame of the store were broken and bent, but no serious damage was done.

Lauren Tracy, who works at the shop, said Avery seemed to be trying to back out of a parking spot around 1 p.m. with her emergency brake on. Suddenly the car leapt forward, jumped the curb and smashed through the glass.

"She's so lucky she didn't come through there," said Tracy, pointing to a computer desk about four feet to the left of the shattered window, where an employee was working at the time of the accident.

The driver was not injured, nor were any of the store employees. Her car, a 1994 Ford Taurus, did not suffer any damage. The driver has a driver's license but has been ordered to retake her driver's exam due to her age. Her driver's record was clean before this accident.
