A flower shop in Long Beach was hit by a car on Thursday morning critically injuring the driver of the car. No one at the florist was injured in the car accident. The driver's legs were pinned under the dashboard of her car.

Some witnesses said they saw a white truck in the No. 3 lane of Lakewood Boulevard at the time of the crash, said Accident Investigations Detective Ray Dennison of the Long Beach Police Department.

One witness said it looked as though the victim was traveling north on Lakewood when she tried to turn left on Carson and was hit by a white truck.

The police have no physical evidence of another vehicle being involved, but they are still investigating. The driver of the car is at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
