With the recent pet food recall it seems more and more animal foods are under scrutiny for pet safety. The latest to be recalled is dog, cat, and ferret treats made by Dingo. The may contain salmonella which poses a hazard to pets as well as humans that handle the treats.

The announcement is not related to the recalls of tainted food that has led to kidney failure in pets around the country. The recall involves Dingo Chick'n Jerky, Dingo Kitty Chicken Jerky and Dingo Ferret Chicken Jerky.

It is unknown how the treats were contaminated with salmonella. Dingo is asking customers who have purchased the treats to call them at 888-232-9889. They are offering a full refund.
