A motorcycle accident in Kono Tayee killed the driver on Friday morning. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The accident happened on Highway 20. A boater reported the crash after seeing the wreckage from the water.

The motorcycle was allegedly traveling too fast for a left-hand curve in the road and went over the embankment where it struck some boulders at the bottom, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

Al though the exact time of the accident is under investigation, CHP officer Adam Garcia said it appears that the accident could have happened up to 45 minutes before the call came in.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
